Despite its strong appeal Kshatriya struggled at the box office and barely managed to recover its budget. According to reports the film’s failure was largely attributed to Sanjay Dutts legal troubles at the time which overshadowed its release and impacted its overall performance. Kshatriya hit theaters on March 26 1993 but failed to leave a lasting mark.
Kshatriya was made on a budget of Rs 5 crore. It had a strong opening earning Rs 45 lakh on its first day and around Rs 2.8 crore in its first week.
