After the disputed jokes on Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shind, the difficulties of comedian Kunal Kamra are increasing. Meanwhile, Kamra has approached the Madras High Court for anticipatory bail. Let me tell you that without naming Shinde, Kamra allegedly called him 'traitor' in a parody song, which in 2022, separated from the Shiv Sena and handed over the BJP to form a Maharashtra government by joining hands with the BJP.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police once again issued a notice to Kunal Kamra and called for questioning at Khar police station on 31 March. According to the report, comedian actor is currently out of Mumbai.
Kamra was initially asked to appear at 11 am on March 26, when an FIR was lodged against him on the basis of the complaint of Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel. However, the comedian sought a week's expansion through his lawyer, after which the police rejected his request and issued a new summons.
Officials said that the FIR against Kamra includes defamation allegations and a separate case has also been registered at Dombivali police station. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police has recorded statements of several people associated with Habitat Studio under the ongoing investigation. More inquiries are expected in the coming days.
