Three people were caught participating in illegal online cricket betting and giving user IDs and passwords to the bettors after the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team and Chikkadapally police dismantled a cricket betting ring. They had cell phones and Rs 2,48,200 in cash confiscated by the police.
Subbookie Mohd Firasath Ali of SRT Colony, Rein Bazar, as well as punters Vikas Agarwal of Domalguda and Nitin Kumar of Moosarambagh, were taken into custody by the police.
The accused allegedly obtained user IDs for online cricket betting from Jaipur, Rajasthan State’s primary bookmaker, Pavan, in order to do business and engage in cricket betting during the 2025 Indian Premier League. They are doing this by utilizing the websites Silvarbay.com, Radheexchange.com, and Peachexch.
Based on intelligence, the Task Force captured them close to Sundaraiah Park and confiscated their mobile phones and money. The recovered documents and the arrested suspect were turned over to the Chikkadpally police for further examination.
