A powerful earthquake struck Thailand on Friday afternoon at 11:50 AM, with two back-to-back tremors of magnitudes 7.7 and 6.4. However, the neighboring country, Bangkok, suffered the most damage. Several under-construction buildings and bridges collapsed due to the tremors. A video has emerged showing the moment a building crumbled to the ground. Watch the video here.
A new high-rise building being constructed in Chatuchak, near the world’s largest weekend market, did not manage to survive the earthquake and collapsed quite massively! Hopefully no one got killed or badly inured. pic.twitter.com/ukyCEBXn7i
