Mandatory e-KYC for Ration Cards—Deadline Approaching Soon
If you are a ration card holder, it is crucial to complete your e-KYC by March 31, 2025. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your ration card, stopping your access to free government ration. The central government has made this verification process mandatory to improve transparency and prevent fraud in the Public Distribution System (PDS).
The primary reason for implementing e-KYC is to eliminate fake or duplicate ration cards and ensure that only genuine beneficiaries receive government-provided ration. This move aims to streamline ration distribution and prevent misuse of the system.
You can easily complete the e-KYC process for your ration card online without visiting any government office. Follow these simple steps:
Visit the official state ration card portal
Each state has its own official website for ration-related services.
