New Delhi: The BCCI announced on Friday that the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) home game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 originally set for April 6 at Eden Gardens Kolkata has been rescheduled to April 8. Its important to note that April 6 will now feature a single match with Sunrisers Hyderabad taking on Gujarat Titans at 7:30 PM IST as initially planned. On April 8 however the day will feature two matches with KKR facing LSG at 3:30 PM IST. The evening fixture on the same day will see Punjab Kings take on Chennai Super Kings in New Chandigarh as initially planned. Why KKR vs LSG clash was rescheduled? The change comes after the Kolkata Police made a request to the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) for additional personnel across the city due to the Ram Navami celebrations. This year April 6 will mark the observance of Ram Navami. KKRs journey in IPL 2025 so far: KKR began their title defense with a defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens but quickly recovered with a victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR). On the other hand LSG started their campaign with a loss to Delhi Capitals (DC) but managed to secure a win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Uppal Stadium on Thursday. Whats next for KKR in IPL 2025? The three-time champions will face Mumbai Indians next on March 31 at Wankhede Stadium. Meanwhile Mumbai Indians suffered a defeat in their opening game against Chennai Super Kings. The Hardik Pandya-led team is set to meet Mumbai Indians in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
