The brother of constable Tariq Ahmed, who was martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, has said that if he gets a chance, he will avenge his brother's death by killing 100 terrorists. According to the members of the inconsolable family, Ahmed promised that he would celebrate Eid with him, but luck was something else.
He also called for a befitting reply to Pakistan to eliminate the terrorist network in Jammu and Kashmir. Four policemen, including Tariq Ahmed, were killed in the encounter that started in the early hours of Thursday and three terrorists associated with the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) organization in Pakistan were killed.
The firing between militants and security forces continued for the second day on Friday. On Friday, hundreds of religious background people gathered at his house in Ahmed's ancestral village in Chamba in Reasi district to support the family in mourning.
Tariq Ahmed's cousin Naeem Nayz said that we are very sad because he is not with us today, but we are proud that he sacrificed his life for the country. He did not fulfill the promise to celebrate Eid with us. He went to Jannat during the holy month of Ramadan.
Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be celebrated in the country on 31 March or 1 April. Niz, who is preparing to join the army, expressed anger over the frequent Pakistan-sponsored terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, saying that he (terrorists) killed our brother. In return, if we get a chance, we will kill 100 terrorists.
