Myanmar: Streets of Myanmar were covered with debris and people were seen fleeing buildings in fear and panic after two back to back earthquakes of 7.7 and 6.4 magnitude struck Mandalay, Myanmar.
Strong tremors were felt in Thailand's capital, Bangkok, flattening a high-rise and prompting the government to declare an emergency and shut down metro and rail services.
Visuals of the earthquake have gone viral on social media, which show huge buildings being collapsed and damaged.

Hospital Damaged
According to news agency AFP, a 1,000 bed hospital in Myanmar's capital Naypyidaw has turned into a "mass casualty" area after the country was rocked by the huge earthquakes. The hospital has been damaged due to the earthquake and rows of wounded have been laid outside the emergency department.
Reports also suggest, 78 people were trapped after an under-construction 30-floor building in Bangkok's Chatuchak collapsed entirely. The building - intended for government offices - was reduced to rubble and twisted metal in seconds, footage on social media showed. Three deaths have been reported.
Historic Spot Damaged
The Earthquake has also caused the collapse of sections of the historic Mandalay Palace Wall and caused damage to the Mahamuni Pagoda.
Thailand's stock exchange also suspended trading after the Myanmar earthquake.
