Tel Aviv: Terrorists attempted to lynch a young shepherd by attacking him with clubs and stones. The shepherd was rushed to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba for further care after being wounded in the attack this morning in the Judean and Samarian town of Mitzpe Yair.

This is the third assault on shepherds in the vicinity of the communities in the last week, according to Eliram Azoulay, Head of the Mount Hebron Regional Council.

Azoulay stated, “The youngster was assaulted by several terrorists using clubs and stones. Amazingly, despite his injuries, he was able to flee to a neighboring farm and seek assistance.

“I urge that the council’s desire for a boundary around the settlements be implemented once again in order to remove the unauthorized development that is next to them. Our residents’ safety is our first concern.

“I thank the security forces who arrived in the area and are pursuing and arresting the terrorists.”

He continued by saying that within the last two months, there has been a rise in violence.
