Some other key things I look for include the organizational structure current frameworks and processes rules for regulatory compliance and that desired end-state. I feel it is best to use Oracles best practices with adaptations fit for the specific client needs. The implementation methodology that I adopt focuses on knowledge transfer on the clients path to self-sufficiency proper planning on data migration thorough testing for successful go-live and providing post-implementation support to ensure sustainable success.

A: One among my hardest projects involved a global Oracle R12 to Cloud migration for a company that had feet upon the ground in many different countries. The goal is always to create a system that not only meets current requirements but is also future-proof to adjust with minimal disruption to future regulatory landscapes.

A: For Oracle project management I apply a mix of tools and methodologies according to the unique requirements of every project. I have found Oracle implementation methodologies to be effective especially the AIM standards with various documents such as BR100 BP080 and TE040 which essentially help in structuring the implementation process. During testing and quality assurance I tend to use tools like Quality Center and Panaya to conduct impact analysis during upgrades. The tools that I have typically used for project tracking and management include various Oracle Project tools together with regular project management tools. In my experience with Oracle projects a hybrid methodology of Agile for development phases and Waterfall for implementation phases works well. A: To manage global teams across different time zones is something you would strategize around communication and collaboration. I ran project teams across 4 continents US Europe Asia and Australia so I have learned to appreciate the need for communication structures that remain rigid yet flexible. I try to set core collaboration hours for everybody in the team to engage in key discussions while also encouraging less-strict asynchronous forums for continuous updates. The other half of the equation would be actual hands-on experience; I regularly stand up test environments to try out new functionality before implementing it with the client. I have several colleagues at Oracle that work on such solutions and through them I gain early insights into trends and best practices.
