New Delhi: Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the world will think tomorrow what India believes today, and he commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday for his attempts to have good ties with the Donald Trump administration in the United States of America (USA). A “force multiply” is what he called the US and India together.
“What India thinks today, the world will think tomorrow,” the Minister said during his speech at the Goyal TV9 Global Summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership is trusted by the government.
In response to the tariffs imposed by the Donald Trump administration, Goyal said that the US and India are not rivals but can work together to provide the world guidance. With its high-tech breakthroughs, he said, India’s capabilities complement those of the United States.
“I would want to state that PM Modi and Trump are buddies. During a news conference, Trump said that he views Prime Minister Modi as a good friend. In Washington, they greeted Prime Minister Modi. India and the USA may work together to provide the world new paths, but they are not in competition. Ultimately, our strengths—including our youth—bring just as much to the table as the US’s high-tech ingenuity. The Union Minister said that the United States and India work together as a force multiplier.
Goyal emphasized that over 43% of the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) graduates from India are female, making it the country with the highest number of STEM graduates worldwide. He said that the nation’s democracy, rule of law, and independent judiciary promote partnerships and investments.
“India produces more STEM graduates than any other country in the world, with 43% of them being female. The globe is drawn to India because of its might. We are receiving decisive representation from PM Modi. Young people will also make contributions to the global economy. Partnership will also be fostered by our democracy and rule of law. The Union Minister said, “People know to invest and trade in India because there is law and order here.”
According to him, the industrialized nations have acknowledged that the rule of law and an independent judiciary prevent unfairness and prejudice, which allows them to continue doing business with India.
“Injustice and prejudice would not be tolerated by our independent courts. This is the Indian power that developed nations acknowledge. They want to continue doing business with India. For the same, I am grateful to PM Modi. We are powerful because of the confidence he has given us,” Goyal said.
