Some rules have been fixed for withdrawing cash from ATM. Which apply equally to all banks. Banks allow you to do some ATM transactions for free. A limit has been fixed for this. After crossing that limit, you have to pay a charge. But now that charge has been increased by RBI. Know how much charge will have to be paid now.

Charges increased for withdrawing cash from ATM

All the banks in the country allow their customers to do some transactions for free through ATM. If someone does transactions from the bank's ATM only, then he can do five transactions in a month. For example, if an SBI account holder withdraws money from SBI's ATM, then he can withdraw money for free 5 times. On the other hand, if someone withdraws money from another bank's ATM, i.e. if an SBI customer withdraws money from Axis Bank's ATM, then he can do this only three times in a month. After this, he will have to pay a charge. If you live in a metro city, then you can do 3 free transactions in a month and 5 free transactions in a non-metro city. Let us tell you that earlier, on crossing the free transaction limit, you had to pay Rs 21 per transaction. But now it has been increased by Rs 2. That is, now you will have to pay Rs 23 per transaction for this.

New rules will be applicable from this date

Let us tell you that RBI has given information about the new charges. However, the new charges have not been implemented yet. These new rules will be applicable from 1 May 2025. If we talk about it, then the free transaction limit of your ATM has been crossed and you need to withdraw cash, then you can also withdraw cash from the ATM through UPI QR. Nowadays you are getting this facility in almost every ATM.
