Djokovic got off to a terrific start against Korda, breaking early to take the opening set, but Korda fought back in the second set, forcing a tie-break. The Serb, however, made a great comeback in the third and used an ace to secure the victory.

Aryna Sabalenka, the top-ranked player in the women’s world, easily defeated Jasmine Paolini of Italy 6-2, 6-2 to go to the final. After defeating the sixth-seeded Paolini in only 71 minutes, Sabalenka will now compete against Jessica Pegula of the United States for the title.

Pegula defeated the 19-year-old from the Philippines 7-6 (7/3), 5-7, 6-3 in a close encounter to guarantee her spot in the championship final and put a stop to Alexandra Eala’s incredible career. In the previous round, Eala, a wildcard participant, defeated Iga Swiatek, the second-ranked player in the world.
