According to authorities on Saturday, a female doctor in this area has been charged with medical negligence after she allegedly left a bundle of cotton inside a woman’s belly after a C-section birth. According to them, the case was filed at the TP Nagar police station on Friday after Assistant Chief Magistrate Prachi Aggarwal issued a court order in response to Rajni Sharma’s allegation.
According to a police officer who cited the complaint, Sharma said that on June 30, 2018, she gave birth to a daughter at Sirohi Nursing Home, where Dr. Shikha Jain conducted the operation.
She eventually had chronic stomach discomfort, but the doctor determined that she had stomach ulcers after many appointments, he added.
The officer further said that she had two procedures at a medical institution as her health deteriorated.
Station House Officer (SHO) Subodh Kumar Saxena stated that Sharma further claimed that the discomfort was caused by a cotton bundle that was carelessly left within her belly by Dr. Jain.
According to the SHO, the complainant filed a court case when officials, including the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), failed to respond to her.
“The case was registered on Friday in response to a court order issued by Assistant Chief Judicial Magistrate Prachi Aggarwal regarding Rajni Sharma’s complaint,” he said. Jain has refuted all of the accusations, stating, “There is nothing like that.” This is only an attempt to defraud the doctor. She told PTI that she didn’t know the details of the purported financial demands made on the lady.
Dr. Ashok Kataria, the chief medical officer of Meerut, said that he was not aware of any complaints that Sharma had made to his office. The police have started looking into the situation.
