With 's move to edging closer, many supporters will feel that their right-back is leaving prematurely - especially as he has made promises about next season.

However, the 26-year-old may feel he has been unfortunate not to have already eclipsed last season's tally of three goals, given that he had a goal ruled out against in September.

The international saw his goal after six minutes chalked off following a VAR review which ruled that was offside in the build-up to the goal. However, the decision did not come until after Alexander-Arnold had emulated 's iconic celebration at Old Trafford of kissing the camera.
