As the Prince and Princess of Wales's only daughter, is doting sister to 11-year-old and six-year-old . Although she was born less than two years after George, Charlotte, 9, is known for her confident behaviour - especially when it comes to keeping her brothers in check.

Despite appearing very self-assured, the late Queen Elizabeth II once revealed that her great-granddaughter is very protective as a sister. Speaking during an engagement in January 2018 - just three months before Charlotte became a big sister - the late Queen asked ten-year-old student Emily Clay's mum whether her eldest daughter looked after her younger sister.

As per , Emily's mum replied that it was "the other way around", to which the late Queen shared that it was "like that with Charlotte and George".

After her little brother was born in April 2018, Charlotte has shown her protective side in pubic on more than one occasion.

To celebrate Charlotte's third birthday in May 2018, and Princess Kate shared a sweet picture of the proud big sister holding Louis - who, at the time, was just days old.

Charlotte was also spotted taking her role of big sister seriously and was seen sweetly holding onto Louis' hand at the King's coronation back in May 2023.

Speaking at the time of the coronation, former royal correspondent Jennie Bond told : "Charlotte strikes me as quite a confident young lady but, with two brothers, she will no doubt be looking to her mother and other women in the family as role models - from her great-grandmother the Queen to her own mum.

"All three children have a claim to think of themselves as pretty special to their parents: George because he is the heir, Charlotte because she's the only girl, and Louis because he's the youngest."

She added: "Charlotte is reaching the age when she can really appreciate her mother's sense of style and they can share 'girlie' moments together. Catherine also provides the perfect role model for how to behave as a senior member of the Royal Family."
