The episode was uploaded by Sachdeva on YouTube eight days ago. It shows her recounting how her mother, trying to be the "cool mother," found the device and awkwardly initiated a conversation.
She joked, "I was sure she (her mother) was going to ask me to lend the vibrator. She started calling it (the vibrator) a gadget, a toy. I was like, 'I swear, Mom, it belongs to Papa.' She said, 'Don't speak nonsense; I know his choice.'
Sachdeva makes joes on various subjects on the he episode, named 'Family First'. She added a disclaimer in the description box, which reads, "The video contains occasional use of strong language and adult humour for comedic purposes; viewer discretion is advised."
Several social media users raised concerns over involving parents in stand-up shows. "This is what comedy has become? Just vulgarity and cheap jokes?" a user asked, while another added, "If Ranveer and Samay face legal action for their jokes, will Swati be next?"
"Probably the most cringeworthy standup 'comedy' you will ever see," one of the users said on X.
"In the name of comedy, even parents are not spared. After Ranveer AIlahbadia and Samay Raina, now Swati Sachdeva! Pathetic, utterly pathetic," a user said.
This comes after severe backlash against YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina. Raina was recently questioned by the Maharashtra Cyber Police over complaints related to obscene content.
The controversy blew up after a clip of Allahbadia asking a crass question to a contestant during an episode of Samay Raina's viral YouTube show India's Got Latent went viral. Multiple complaints were filed against the crew of the show. Allahbadia and Raina apologised for the obscene remark later.
