The popular entertainment destination announced extended timings; it will be open from 4pm to 1am on Shawwal 1 to Shawwal 3.

From March 28 to April 5, at 10pm during Ramadan nights and return to their regular 9pm timing, from the first day of Eid.

When is Eid celebrated?

Eid Al Fitr marks the , and falls on the first of Shawwal.

Islamic Hijri months last either 29 or 30 days. This means that if the crescent is spotted on Ramadan 29, the holy month ends on March 29, and Eid will commence from March 30.

However, if the moon is not sighted on March 29, Ramadan will last 30 days, and Eid will commence on March 31.

As residents anticipate the Eid Al Fitr holiday, will the weather be ideal for a day out? Or a family day indoors?

Meanwhile, prayers in Sharjah and Ajman are likely to start a minute earlier at 6.19am, while in Abu Dhabi, they are anticipated to begin at 6.22am.

Free parking timings, public transport schedule

Authorities across different emirates of the UAE have announced free parking timings and public transport schedule during the holiday.

In Dubai,  from Shawwal 1 to 3, except for multi-level parking terminals. Residents in Dubai can also take advantage of Dubai Metro's extended operating hours during Eid.

Meanwhile, all paid parking in Sharjah will be free during the Eid Al Fitr holiday from Shawwal 1 to 3, as per an announcement by the Municipality.

In Ajman too, all  from Shawwal 1 to 3 during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, the Municipality confirmed on March 28.

7 cannon locations across Dubai revealed

The cannon, which has historically been used to mark iftar or Eid, especially before the invention of clocks, will be fired to announce Eid Al Fitr in Dubai.

The Dubai Police confirmed a dedicated team has been assigned to each location, as part of the preparations for marking the highly-anticipated festival.

UAE to deploy drones for Moon sighting

The UAE will using high-end technology, as it plans to deploy drones to sight the Moon along with AI-powered observatories.

Drones which can rise to a height of over 300 metres above ground, equipped with high-precision lenses, will be deployed from Al-Khatim Astronomical Observatory.

Australia has of Eid Al Fitr as March 31, 2025, as per an announcement by the Australian Fatwa Council.

The council confirmed that the  of Shawwal will be born on Saturday, March 29, 9.57pm AEST — after sunset on that night. Meanwhile in Perth, the new Moon will be born on the same day at 6.57pm AWST, also after sunset.
