Radhika Kumaraswamy is a well-known actress in the Kannada film industry and has reportedly worked in Tamil cinema as well. She began her acting career at a young age and rose to fame with her performance in the 2003 film Eyarkai where she shared screen-space with actors like Arun Vijay Senthil Pasupathy and Chinnijayanth. Apart from her successful film career Radhika grabbed headlines due to her relationship with a former Chief Minister of Karnataka.
In 2006 her marriage to H.D. Kumaraswamy son of former Indian Prime Minister HD Deve Gowd created a stir in the industry as the actress was nearly 27 years younger than the politician. This was the second marriage for both of them. Kumaraswamy had previously married Anitha Kumaraswamy in 1986. Radhikas first marriage took place when she was just 14 with Ratan Kumar but the union was short-lived as he passed away due to heart attack in 2002.
Radhika Kumaraswamys decision to marry former Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy was strongly opposed by her father. However the actress still went ahead with a secret marriage leaving her father and other family members quite shocked.
Regarding her entry in films she made her debut with Ninagagi and quickly captivated audiences with her exceptional performances. Over the years she starred in several notable films including Thavarige Baa Thangi Badradri Ramudu Auto Shankar Mandya Sweety Nanna Jodi Avatharam Rudra Tandava and Damayanthi.
With a career spanning over 25 years Radhika eventually ventured into film production backing projects like Lucky Sweety Nanna Jodi and Capture. She is currently a full-time producer and actor having an estimated net worth of Rs 124 crore according to reports.
