According to a report, a screenshot has surfaced about the integration of Spotify in Whatsapp Status. In which it can be seen that a new 'Status' button will be added to the share sheet of the music app Spotify app, which will appear with the current WhatsApp button. It is being told that in this new feature, when a user taps this status button, Whatsapp will generate a preview of a song. The preview will include information like song name, artist name and album cover.
The report said that Whatsapp will also add the 'Play on Spotify' button in its status update header. This button will allow people to play songs directly in the Spotify app. With this new feature, users will not need to copy the song manually and paste the song. It is being told that the new feature will be safe from end-to-end encryption, which is used to protect the message, call and video already existing on the app.
The new feature of Whatsapp is being developed for both Android and iOS and will be released in future updates.
