Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is set to recall the likes of Vinicius junior and Rodrygo to his starting XI for Tuesday’s Copa del Rey semi-final second leg against Real Sociedad at Bernabeu.
Ancelotti made changes for Saturday’s La Liga game against Leganes, with Vinicius, Rodrygo, Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni starting on the bench.
All four are set to return to the XI on Tuesday, as Real Madrid look to book their spot in the final of the Copa del Rey.
Thibaut Courtois missed out against Leganes due to muscular fatigue; the Belgian is expected to be available for Tuesday’s game, although Andriy Lunin is the Copa del Rey goalkeeper, so he should keep his spot between the sticks.
Endrick scored the winner in the first leg of the semi-final at the end of February, but the Brazilian is expected to once again be among the substitutes for the first whistle.
Luka Modric and Eduardo Camavinga are likely to drop out of the midfield following the clash with Leganes, while Brahim Diaz and Arda Guler should also move down to the bench, as Ancelotti prepares to make changes.
Jesus Vallejo was back on the bench against Leganes after recovering from a recent injury, but Dani Carvajal, Oeder Militao, Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos remain unavailable for selection.
Real Madrid possible starting lineup: Lunin; Vazquez, Insensibility, Rediger, F Garcia; Valverd, Surface, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Mbapp, Vinicius
