Seven IPL matches will be played between April 1 and May 18 at the city's Ekana Stadium. For this, the traffic police have issued a diversion. This traffic system will be applicable on April 1, 4, 12, 14, 22, 9, and 18 May till the match ends at midnight. The traffic police have issued different route charts for different categories of traffic. Autos and e-rickshaws have been banned on the main road and service road on the day of the match.

Apart from this, the traffic police said that there would be no ticket sales counter on the day of the match. Entry will be given by showing a hard copy and entry will be given only three hours before the match starts. The last entry will be till the middle of the second innings, after which entry will be closed. Re-entry will not be valid on exiting the stadium. There will be a temporary pick-and-drop stand on the road behind the UP-112 headquarters, where private vehicles and auto-rickshaws will be able to drop off and pick up passengers. Entry will not be allowed without a duty card and ticket. Coins, earphones, and inflammable substances will be banned. People living near the stadium should go to the stadium only to watch the match, otherwise use other routes. Avoid coming during peak hours between 6 and 8 for the match starting at 7:30 am.

Routes for roadways, private buses, and commercial vehicles

1. Roadways and all other buses and small and big commercial vehicles will be banned on Shaheed Path during the match, while other alternative routes will remain open. There will be no ban on private or hired taxi vehicles.

2. Vehicles coming from Amul Tiraha and Arjunganj Cantt on Sultanpur Road will be taken out from Katai Bridge.

Routes for city buses and auto rickshaws

1. During the match, city buses will not stop on Shaheed Path between Husadiya and Sushant Golf City and will run on the right side of the road.
2. E-rickshaws and autos coming from Arjunganj will turn left from Ahimamau and drop passengers on the road behind PHQ, UP-112, Maternity Hospital and will go towards Gomtinagar from G-20 intersection passing in front of PHQ.

3. Autos/e-rickshaws coming from Sultanpur Road will turn left and drop passengers towards Lulu Mall.

4. Under no circumstances will passengers be dropped or picked up within a radius of 500 meters from Ahimamau.

For Ola/Uber and other taxi vehicles

1. Like city buses, passengers will not be picked up or dropped off on Shaheed Path between Husadiya and Sushant Golf City.

2. Vehicles coming from the airport will drop passengers before Ahimamau.

3. Vehicles coming from Arjunganj will turn left from Ahimamau and drop the passengers on the road behind PHQ, UP-112, Maternity Hospital, and will go towards Gomtinagar via the G-20 intersection in front of PHQ.

Route chart for private vehicles

1. Private vehicles will go from Ahimamau towards HCL and park the vehicle in the marked parking via Water Tank Tiraha via Placio Mall. After the parking of Placio Mall is full, parking will be done between Water Tank Tiraha and HCL.

Route for two-wheelers and other vehicles

1. All two-wheelers will park the vehicle behind Placio Mall via HCL Tiraha from Ahimamau.

2. The escorts coming with VVIP/VIP will return from the stadium and park the vehicle on the roads behind the mall or PHQ. No vehicle will be parked near the stadium. Action will be taken by towing and clamping on illegal parking.

3. Security personnel accompanying VIPs or VIPs will not be allowed inside. Parking areas will remain set up. Only ticket holders will be able to enter the parking stand.

Separate diversion for heavy vehicles and normal vehicles on Shaheed Path
The traffic police have issued a separate diversion for heavy vehicles coming and going from Shaheed Path. Due to the IPL match, this route chart has been issued for 1, 4, 12, 14, 22 April, 9 and 18 May. Due to the match, the traffic police have expected a pressure of vehicles on Shaheed Path between 2 pm and 9 pm, due to which apart from the spectators, vehicles going towards Kanpur Nagar, Expressway, Barabirwa, Amausi have been advised to avoid using Shaheed Path. Apart from this, large vehicles going to the parking of Ekana Stadium will have to go through Ahimamau Chauraha. Therefore, Arjunganj/Cantt Road can also be used instead of Shaheed Path. The no-entry time will not start from 11 pm but will continue till the traffic becomes normal after the cricket match ends. For any situation, traffic control number 9454405155 can be contacted.

1. Normal traffic from Kamta Shahid Path Tiraha Ayodhya Road will not be able to go from Kamta Tiraha via Shahid Path towards Sultanpur Road, Raebareli Road, or Kanpur Road, rather these vehicles will go via Kamta Tiraha, Indira Gandhi Pratishthan Chauraha, Samtamulk Chauraha, Lal Batti Chauraha, Kariyappa Chauraha, Telibagh Chauraha, Barabirwa Chauraha.

2. General traffic from Shahid Path Kanpur Road Tiraha will not be able to go towards Sultanpur Road, Raebareli Road, Ayodhya Road via Shahid Path, rather this traffic will be diverted via Barabirwa Chauraha, Banglabazar Chauraha, Telibagh Chauraha, Kariyappa Chauraha, Lal Batti Chauraha, 1090 Chauraha or Darogakheda Kisan Path.

3. Big vehicles, buses, and commercial vehicles from Gosaiganj Kasba Tiraha Sultanpur Road will go via Gosaiganj Kasba Tiraha or Amul Dairy Cutting to Ahimamau instead of Amul Dairy Cutting to the left via Vrindavan Yojna or Kabirpur Kisan Path.

4. Big vehicles, buses, and commercial vehicles from Utrethiya underpass crossing, Raebareli Road, Cantt Road will not be able to go towards Ahimamau crossing, Kamta Tiraha, Ayodhya Road by climbing Shaheed Path from Utrethiya underpass crossing. These vehicles will go via Telibagh Crossing, Barabirwa crossing, and Kariyappa crossing.

5. General traffic from Husadiya underpass crossing will not be able to go towards Ahimamau crossing, Shaheed Path Kanpur Road Tiraha. These vehicles will pass through the city area via 1090 crossing.

6. Big vehicles, buses, and commercial vehicles from Lal Batti Crossing will not be able to go towards Ahimamau crossing, Sultanpur Road, Raebareli Road, or Kanpur Road. These vehicles will go from Lal Batti Crossing via Kariyappa Crossing, Telibagh or Bangla Bazaar Crossing, Barabirwa Crossing. 7. General traffic coming from Sultanpur Road will be restricted from Amul Tiraha towards Ahimamau Chauraha. These vehicles will be diverted from Amul Tiraha itself and will be able to go to Shahid Path from Lulu Mall.

8. Traffic going from Sultanpur Road towards Police Headquarters will be restricted from HCL Tiraha to Placio Tiraha towards Police Headquarters. These vehicles will take a right turn from Ahimamau Chauraha.

9. General traffic going from Kamta Shahid Path Tiraha towards Kanpur will not descend from the Ahimamau ramp and will be able to go straight to Shahid Path.

10. General traffic going from Kamta Shahid Path Tiraha to Cantt, Police Headquarters, Gomtinagar by taking a U-turn at Ahimamau Chauraha will be restricted and will be able to go straight to Shahid Path by taking a U-turn from Medanta Hospital.

11. Heavy vehicles coming and going from Sultanpur will be restricted from Sultanpur Road towards Ahimamau or Ahimamau towards Sultanpur Road and will be able to come and go via Kisanpath from Kabirpur Tiraha.
