UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Prelims Result 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the result of the Combined Geo-Scientist Preliminary Examination 2025. Candidates who appeared in this exam can check their results by visiting the official website upsc.gov.in.
Candidates who qualify for this exam will now have to appear for the Main Exam, which will be held on 21 and 22 June 2025.
UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Prelims 2025: Passing Details
According to the official notification of UPSC, 489 candidates have passed the examination for Geologist (Group A), Scientist B (Hydrogeology – Group A), and Assistant Hydrogeologist (Group B) posts. At the same time, 194 candidates have passed the examination for Geophysicist (Group A), Scientist B (Geophysics – Group A), and Assistant Geophysicist (Group B) posts. Apart from this, 75 candidates have passed the Chemist (Group A), Scientist B (Chemical – Group A), and Assistant Chemist (Group B) exams.
UPSC Result 2025: Further Process and Main Exam
UPSC has also clarified that the final marks and cut-off marks of the preliminary examination will be uploaded on the commission's website, which will be available after the completion of the entire examination process i.e. after the declaration of the final result of the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2025.
The commission has released the list of roll numbers of the candidates who have passed the examination. According to the commission, "The qualification of these candidates is as per the conditions in all the stages. Candidates will have to appear in Phase-II i.e. Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination 2025 on 21 and 22 June 2025."
This exam was conducted on 9 February 2025 in two shifts. The morning shift had General Studies (Paper I) from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, while the afternoon shift had papers on specific subjects (Paper II) from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm such as subjects related to Geologist, Geophysicist, and Chemist.
