One of the tasks you may want to tackle while the weather is warm is cleaning your windows. A simple three-ingredient solution has been praised as being able to cut through grime and dirt and give your glass a polished effect. influencer Chantel Mila her solution, which involves mixing four cups of warm water with two cups of and a quarter of a cup of dish soap. For the inside of your windows you should mix equal parts warm water with white vinegar. To deter spiders this summer you could try spraying water mixed with peppermint oil on any railings around your home.
Another of Mila's solutions containing white vinegar is used on her kitchen cupboards, surfaces, and stovetops. Simply mix one cup of warm water with half a cup of white vinegar and a tablespoon of lemon juice. If you don't have any lemon juice at home, you can swap it out for dish soap - and it will still work at removing grease from your kitchen with ease.
White vinegar can also be effective at deodorising your fridge, Mila advises. You can mix together one cup of water with a quarter of a cup of white vinegar and vanilla extract and then put the solution into a spray bottle. Empty out your fridge and apply the spray into the fridge's interior before wiping away with a clean cloth.
For a clean floor, meanwhile, add two cups of water to a quarter of a cup of white vinegar and a teaspoon of dish soap. Mila said you could add rubbing alcohol and peppermint oil too if you so wish - and this mixture will leave your home "smelling so fresh".
Her other viral home hacks include using a mop to clean your bathtub to prevent bending and back-strain, applying shaving foam to a mirror before wiping away to make it shine, and adding salt to a load of black laundry to prevent colour fading. Mila has also shown followers how to prevent hard water marks on taps by rubbing on candle wax, and how to clean and deodorise sinks by placing baking soda on a lemon half and scrubbing.
