Block Spam Calls: Spam calls can become a big nuisance, which often disrupts daily activities and can lead to potential fraud.

Spam calls have always been a big problem. Marketing and promotional calls not only disrupt daily activities, but at times they can also lead to fraud. Such unwanted calls can come from telemarketers, robocallers or scammers. Although these calls are annoying, it is not possible to ignore them completely or keep the phone on silent for a long time. At the same time, keeping the DND mode on for a long time can also lead to missing calls from delivery companies or other important calls. In such a situation, what should be done to get rid of these spam calls, let's know.

Register your mobile number in NCPR

The easiest way to block spam calls is to register your number in the National Customer Preference Register (NCPR), formerly known as the National Do Not Call Registry (NDNC). Through this service, users can avoid telemarketing calls.

How to activate DND service through telecom companies

Now you can also activate DND (Do Not Disturb) service through your telecom company:

Jio: Go to MyJio app > Settings > Service Settings > Do Not Disturb. From here select the categories you want to block.

Airtel: Go to airtel.in/airtel-dnd, enter your mobile number and OTP, then select the categories you want to block.

Vi (Vodafone Idea): Go to discover.vodafone.in/dnd and enter your information and select the categories to block.

BSNL: Send “START DND” to 1909 from your BSNL number and select the categories to block.

Open the Phone app.

Tap the three dots (menu) icon and go to Settings.
