In conversation with 1908.nl, as reported by Sport Witness, he asserted: "I will do my best at Feyenoord until the end of the season. If I stay, that's fine. And if I leave, that will be the result of my game here.

"It's not normal how he kicks that ball in! That's how you punish a mistake. Pure class. He was not in the pre-selection of Brazil for nothing, that is quite an elite club."
Slot signed Paixao for Feyenoord back in 2022 after he made his name during a spell in Brazil. The 24-year-old helped Feyenoord claim the Eredivisie campaign in his debut season before hitting double figures for goals again last season.
