Renault and Nissan work in a joint venture in India. For this, the two companies together have formed Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Limited (RNAPL) company. Now Reno will acquire Nissan's 51 percent stake in this company and become the company's entire 100 percent owner. So will Nissan brand be closed in India?

What will be the effect on Nissan?

Renault and Nissan did not disclose more about this deal, but made it clear that there has been a share purchase deal between the two companies to complete this deal. At the same time, Renault Group and Nissan will continue their projects in India. At the same time, an operating deal has also been signed for how the relationship between the two companies will be there.

According to PTI news, Nissan will continue to use RNAIPL factories to export vehicles from India and to present its products in the local market in the coming years. In India, the company will also be produced by the rest of the models including Nissan Magnite. In this way, both the companies will continue to work together.

Nissan will build an electric car for Renault

In this share purchase deal, another thing has been agreed between the two companies. Nissan Motor will also be produced from a car design to the Renault Group's electric vehicle brand 'Ampere'. The production of this car is expected to start from 2026.

Ivan Aspinosa, the upcoming chairman and CEO of Nissan, says that India will remain a big hub for the research and development, digital and other knowledge based services of the company. The company will bring its new SUV model to India and will also continue to do ex -exit from here.
