Jaipur, March 31, 2025 – The city of Jaipur came alive on Monday evening as the Traditional Royal Procession of Gangaur Mata was carried out with unmatched Rajasthani opulence and regal flair. Organized by the Rajasthan Tourism Department, the grand event attracted thousands of domestic and international tourists eager to witness the city’s vibrant cultural heritage.
Starting from the historic City Palacethe procession made its way through Tripolia Gate, Chooti Chaupad, Gangauri Bazaarand culminated at Taal katoraaccompanied by folk dancers, richly decorated animals, and traditional music.
The royal procession was not just a visual delight but a cultural spectacle, featuring:
Kalbelia, Kachhi Ghodi, Alghoza, Chakri, and Gair Dancers
Bahurupiya artists portraying traditional folk characters
A majestic parade of decked-out camels, horses, elephantsand vintage Victoria buggies
According to Tourism Deputy Director Upendra Singh Shekhawatthis year’s event was significantly grander:
Participation of over 250 folk artists
50% increase in palanquins, decorated animals, and floats
Live drone-based flower showers – a first for the festival
Live broadcast across 200 LED screens statewide

Two vintage Victoria carriages
Performances by a 24-member traditional troupe
