Tamannaah Bhatia turned muse for Falguni Shane Peacock at Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI. Taking off in style, Tamannaah looked glamorously chic in a bejewelled corset teamed with black pants and a long-sleeved black shrug.
Tamannaah Bhatia, who has known the designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock from the beginning of her career, shared how they are the best creative people to know and work with. “Falguni and Shane Peacock are the most humble [people]. They are almost oblivious of their greatness and how much they impact and influence generations of people,” expressed Tamannaah.
Reminiscing about a time at the beginning of her career, Tamannaah shared how the duo were one of the first designers to lend her clothes for a shoot. “When I started my career, some of the first people to shoot with me and lend me clothes was Falguni Shane Peacock. I have so much high regard for them because they are not just pioneers in presenting urban India in India and internationally, but they are also just amazing people who have evolved every few years. For me, Falguni and Shane are both creative people I look up to,” says Tamannaah.
And when in doubt, Tamannaah knows she can always reach out to them for creative advice. Elated to be a part of their showcase at Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI, Tamannaah says, “Whenever I am confused about creative decisions, I ask and seek advice from them. And the fact that they thought of me for this collection is so humbling and nourishing for me as a person. You guys mean the world to me. I have always had the best time interacting with you for your shoots and performances. It was so much fun working with you and Karan Johar [who closed Falguni Shane Peacock’s show]. It is just the nicest combination of people who love fashion and enjoy fashion and use it like an everyday expression.”
Tamannaah aced her runway walk and loved not just what she was wearing but also what the models showcased on the runway. “I think it is the first time in my Lakme Fashion Week career of walking that I have ever wanted every single piece I saw on the runway. The models looked out of this world. Everything was wearable, relatable and aspirational, which is just a combination we all want,” adds Tamannaah.
