Horror films these days rely heavily on CGI effects VFX to make their spine chilling ghosts and supernatural creepy creatures as real as possible. This doesnt mean that back in the day there were none. Certain Indian horror movies gained the fame of becoming cult classics owing to its entertainment value. One such movie was made almost 37 years ago and raked the box office. If reports from the day are to believed audience was left terrified yet hooked to the seat till the very end.

The film features Jasmin as the main witch Vijendra Ghatge played Sameer Pratap the son of Mahendra Pratap and Vijay Arora portrayed a mechanic in Veerana. It also starred Kulbhushan Kharbanda Gulshan Grover Sahila Chaddha Rajesh Vivek among others
The plot revolved around a witch who used to charm people and murder them is eventually killed by two brothers in the movie. The witch reappears years later and attacks a brother’s daughter. People began referring to Jasmin as the most beautiful witch after witnessing her beauty in Veerana.
