Indian team's T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav achieved a special feat in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) while playing for Mumbai Indians. Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten 27 runs with the help of three fours and two sixes in nine balls while batting against KKR and played an important role in getting the team victory.

With this, Suryakumar has completed eight thousand runs in T20 cricket and he is the fifth Indian to do so. Suryakumar has also become the fifth Indian to score the most runs for India in T20. Suryakumar has now scored 8007 runs in the shortest format of the game, T20.

The record for scoring the most runs for India in T20 is held by Virat Kohli who has scored 12976 runs in the shortest format of the game. Rohit Sharma is in second place with 11851 runs, while Shikhar Dhawan is third in this list with 9797 runs and Suresh Raina is fourth with 8654 runs.
