Mumbai Indians (MI) opened their account of victory by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by eight wickets. In this match played at Wankhede on Monday, after losing the toss and batting first, defending champions KKR scored only 116 runs in 20 overs by losing 10 wickets. In reply, Mumbai brought smiles to the faces of fans by achieving the target in just 12.5 overs thanks to Ryan Rickelton's half-century innings.
