Specially designed viruses are used in oncolitis virus therapy, which directly attack cancer cells and destroy them. These viruses enter cancer cells and increase their number and eventually eliminate them. The research on oncolitis virus began about 100 years ago, but the progress in genetic engineering in recent years has greatly increased its effectiveness. In countries like America and Japan, this technology is already underway, but China is moving fast in this direction.
About 60 clinical trials are going on in this technology in China, which is expected that soon it will become accessible and economical for the common people. In this short trial, it was also observed that 90% of patients, who had liver, ovarian and lung cancer, decreased or stabilized the size of the tumor.

In comparison, an injection of oncolatic virus therapy can be available for only 11 thousand rupees (US $ 140). The total cost of this therapy of the year can be around Rs 3.3 lakh (US $ 4,200), which is extremely economical than the current treatment.
