The highly anticipated fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise has officially been titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Director Destin Daniel Cretton confirmed that production on the film will begin this summer, with the movie set to swing into theaters on July 31, 2026. The announcement was made at CinemaCon, currently taking place in Las Vegas.

Although Tom Holland wasn’t present at the convention, he sent a video message teasing the upcoming superhero adventure. He expressed his regret for not being able to attend, citing his ongoing work on Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey with Matt Damon, Zendaya, and Anne Hathaway. Holland hinted that Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks a fresh start for the character, saying, “It is exactly that. That’s all I can say.” He also addressed the cliffhanger from Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), where Peter Parker, having broken open the multiverse, erased his identity from the world.

Plot and Cast Details
While plot details for the fourth film remain under wraps, Cretton shared his excitement for the new stage in Peter Parker’s journey. He promised a unique emotional story, as well as new action-packed sequences that fans haven’t seen before. Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are expected to return as MJ and Ned, while Stranger Things star Sadie Sink has joined the cast in an undisclosed role, with speculation suggesting she could play Jean Grey from the X-Men universe.
Cretton also praised his creative team, hinting that fans will be blown away by the film’s innovative work when Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters in 2026.
