Diet plays a pivotal role in weight loss. This woman reduced from 101 kilos by making simple dietary changes.

Obesity has become an alarming health concern with a steep surge in cases all across the world. Mello documents her fitness journey on her social media and shares her takeaways from her journey and how she managed to lose 24 kilos. In one of her posts, she explained the challenges she faced due to obesity. “Before with 101,KG: no mood, grade 2 obesity, bad body composition, high fat percentage, anxiety attack, back pain (from being overweight), swollen ankles, body pain, poor sleep, couldn’t keep consistency in anything, always frustrated because I couldn’t beat food, couldn’t walking or standing for a long time, fast food every day, bad exams, losing youth to obesity,” she wrote in Portuguese.

Mello followed the weight loss rule of calorie deficit. In order to maintain it, she ate 400 less as per Aaj Tak. She followed a strict diet and started adding more fibre and protein. Fibre and protein keeps the stomach satiated for longer durations minimising risk of hunger cravings when we end up succumbing to our guilty pleasures.

Despite a balanced meals, she did not give up on cheat meals. In addition to her diet, she also incorporated workout routine and it was not b just hitting the gym. Instead, she opted for walks and home workouts only.

The right balance of meal and workout not only helps reduce stubborn fat deposits but also helps to lead to fit lifestyle. One must note that weight loss is different for different people.
