Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A Gwalior municipal worker has accused his wife of threatening to kill him like Saurabh from Meerut, who was brutally murdered by his wife and her lover, on Tuesday. The woman even warned him of disposing his dead remains in a drum just like in Saurabh murder case.
The victim approached the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) during a public hearing on Tuesday, seeking help. He claimed that his wife, who is now in a relationship with another man, told him, “No one will even know where you disappeared.”
According to information, the victim, Ajay Dagour, lives in Gaddha Wala Mohalla near Jain Petrol Pump in Kampu and works as a sanitation worker in the municipal corporation, earning ₹8,000 per month.
Fifteen years ago, he fell in love with Sonia and married her against his family’s wishes. She was already married before and had two daughters from her first husband. Ajay accepted them as his own, and the couple later had a son, who is now six years old.
For many years, everything was fine, but three years ago, his wife got involved with another man.
Since then, she started harassing him and eventually left him to live in a live-in relationship with that man, taking their son and daughters along.
Ajay told the police that his wife had attacked him multiple times and was demanding ₹5 lakh from him.
She allegedly warned, “If you don’t give the money, I will make my daughters file false allegations against you and get you jailed. And if that doesn’t work, I will cut you into pieces, put you in a drum, and fill it with cement—just like what happened to Saurabh in Meerut.”
Women’s Police Station In-Charge, Deepti Singh Tomar, said that Ajay had complained that his wife was violent and involved in substance abuse. The police are investigating the matter and will conduct counseling sessions for both sides to try and resolve the issue.
