Kunal Kamra Executes Bond, Submits Sureties In Tamil Nadu Court

Chennai: Strand-up comedian Kunal Kamra, against whom the Khar Police in Mumbai had registered a case on a complaint of defaming Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, on Tuesday appeared before a local court in Tamil Nadu to fulfil his interim anticipatory bail conditions.

The Madras High Court had recently while hearing a petition from Kamra, a resident of Tamil Nadu since 2021, directed him to appear before the Judicial Magistrate at Vanur in Villupuram district and execute a bond and furnish two sureties to the satisfaction of the magistrate.

On Tuesday. He executed the bond and furnished sureties following which Vanur Judicial Magistrate Preethi directed him to appear before the Madras High Court on April 7.
