The wait for the new series of is very nearly over, with fans of the hit sci-fi series in for twists, turns and eerie premonitions about the not-so-distant future.
With the topic of AI on everyone's lips, there's plenty of grist fordystopian mill this time around, while the writer has advised that the new season is “a little bit OG ".
Speaking with Tudum, Brooker revealed: “It’s back to basics in many ways. They’re all sci-fi stories — there’s definitely some horrifying things that occur, but maybe not in an overt horror-movie way. There’s definitely some disturbing content in it.”
But what can we expect from this eagerly awaited new batch of episodes? And when can we start binge-watching?

Season seven will be released in the UK on April 10 at 8am, with all six episodes made available to stream on .
Episode one, entitled Common People, stars Chris O’Dowd as Mike, Rashida Jones as Amanda, and Tracee Ellis Ross as Gaynor, in a story that sees a "desperate husband" sign his wife up for Rivermind, a high-tech system intended to keep her alive following a medical emergency. Naturally, there's a price to pay.
The second episode, Bête Noire, tells the tale of a high-flying development executive at a chocolate company who is surprised by an unexpected reunion with an old school acquaintance.
The cast includes Siena Kelly as Maria, Rosy McEwen as Verity, Michael Workéyè as Kae, Ben Bailey Smith as Gabe, Amber Grappy as Yudy, Ravi Aujla as Mr. Ditta, Elena Sanz as Camille, and Hanna Griffiths as Luisa.
Episode Three, Hotel Reverie, follows "Hollywood A-list actor Brandy Friday is thrown into an unusually immersive high-tech remake of a vintage romantic movie". It stars Emma Corrin as Dorothy, Issa Rae as Brandy, Awkwafina as Kimmy, and Harriet Walter as Judith Keyworth.
The fourth episode, Plaything follows an "eccentric" video game-obsessed loner who "is arrested in connection with a grisly cold case". Again, the ep boasts an all-star cast, including the likes of Peter Capaldi as older Cameron Walker, Lewis Gribben as younger Cameron Walker, James Nelson Joyce as DCI Kano, Michele Austin as Jen, Will Poulter as Colin Ritman, and Asim Chaudhry as Mohan Thakur.
According to the synopsis of episode five, Eulogy: "An innovative system that enables users to literally step into photographic memories of the past leads a lonely man to re-examine a heartbreaking period in his life." Cast members include as Phillip and Patsy Ferran as The Guide.
It's the sixth and final episode, USS Callister: Into Infinity, that has really piqued fans' interest. A sequel to season four's USS Callister (2017), the intriguing synopsis reads as follows: "Robert Daly is dead, but the crew of the USS Callister — led by Captain Nanette Cole — find that their problems are just beginning."
The eagerly anticipated follow-up stars Cristin Milioti as Nanette, Jimmi Simpson as Walton, Billy Magnussen as Karl, Milanka Brooks as Elena Tulaska, Osy Ikhile as Nate Packer, and Paul G. Raymond as Kabir Dudani.
In a recent interview with the Mirror, Milanka Brooks spoke about how the sequel very nearly didn't happen, revealing: "There were multiple iterations created by the wonderful Charlie Brooker over the years. Because of cast availability, we never quite got there, and I thought it might never happen. Even on the flight to filming, I remember thinking, 'This still might not happen'. But we got there in the end."
Opening up about what we can expect from USS Callister: Into Infinity, the 41-year-old shared: "Our episode looks into genetic engineering and that is very much happening so the idea of cloning is a very scary thing.
"I read somewhere that someone is coming up with a virtual reality game where you can actually die in it... so if that's where we're heading, I'm terrified. explores big issues that we need to talk about through sci-fi and comedy drama."
All six episodes of Black Mirror will land on on April 10.
