The demand for old pension has once again intensified in Uttar Pradesh. Pharmacists, nursing staff, employees of the electricity department and employees of other government departments demonstrated in the capital Lucknow along with the teachers of Basic Education Department. These people intensified the demand for old pension and opposed the new pension. Along with Lucknow, teachers across the state, including Barabanki, Kanpur, Hardoi, Bareilly, Aligarh, Amethi, Pratapgarh, Rampur, Sonbhadra, Prayagraj, Gonda, Sultanpur, Deoria and Azamgarh, were demonstrated on Tuesday.

Under the banner of Ateva (ALL Teachers and Employees Welfare Association - ATEWA), district teachers, officers, officers, pharmacists, nursing staff, electricity department employees and personnel of other government departments were involved in this protest. The teachers said that the movement was started with the old pension. The government is not fulfilling their demand under any circumstances. In such a situation, there is no other way left other than the movement. Many issues like UPS are meant to distract attention, but teachers are still adamant on the demand for old pension.

On 1 May 2025, there will be a big demonstration at Jantar Mantar on Labor Day. The organization says that paramilitary forces engaged in security of the country are also affected by these schemes. At the same time, objecting to privatization of government institutions, he said that the property of the country should be right.
