Analysis of the JEE Main 2025 Shift 1 Exam: Today, April 2, the first shift of the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 was held by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Students rated the difficulty level as moderate, with mathematics requiring excellent time management and physics being the most difficult subject because of its conceptual complexity. With NCERT-based questions, chemistry was the subject with the highest scores.

The format of the test remained the same, with 90 questions in mathematics, chemistry, and physics broken up into multiple-choice questions and numerical-based parts. Chemistry was easier for students to handle, but Physics was the most difficult. Math was balanced in difficulty but had long derivations.

Analysis of Physics: Electrostatics and Mechanics Predominant: Modern Physics, Electrostatics, and Mechanics were the main topics of the physics questions. While theory-based questions from the NCERT 12th curriculum surfaced, the numerical problems from Kinematics and Rotational Motion were challenging. For Shift 2, experts suggest reviewing mathematics and practice papers from prior years.

Algebra and Calculus in Mathematics took Center Stage: The math portion included a lot of calculations, with a focus on coordinate geometry and calculus.
