AI, however, made the odd error of transforming one of the coconuts into what looked like a human head when it processed the picture. Viewers were shocked and laughed as this unsettling change went viral.
However, this is not the first instance in which AI has made mistakes while producing Ghibli-inspired artwork. An AI-generated Ghibli-style portrait of OpenAI founder and CEO Sam Altman recently had an odd defect pointed up by a social media user on platform X (previously Twitter). The error? An improper number of fingers on a hand. This issue contributes to the increasing number of strange mistakes in AI-generated graphics.
The Ghibli movement is nevertheless well-liked despite these issues, demonstrating the intrigue and unpredictability of AI-generated art. Even while some mistakes are amusing, they serve as a reminder that artificial intelligence is still a long way from becoming as creative as humans.
The Ghibli trend’s AI errors are also seen in another video that was posted on Instagram. In one case, ChatGPT incorrectly turns a picture of two females cuddling into a picture of a guy and a girl. In aanotherinstance, the AI mysteriously transforms the female in the center of a group shot with three guys and two girls into a boy.
