A woman’s Reddit post on her ‘lunatic boss’ went viral on social media, mostly over how bizarre most of the office rules sounded that the manager had allegedly asked the employees to follow. Taking to the internet, the troubled employee opened up about a job that she had recently begun, only to soon realise that she was working in a highly toxic work environment. From allegedly yelling at employees for ‘high electricity bill’, sending ‘legal notices’ to whoever she had a problem with, making ‘random salary cuts’ to ‘keeping surveillance on the employees’, asking people to ‘not talk to each other’ and making the workers remove their shoes outside the door- the woman ranted about several mind-boggling ‘rules’ that her boss had introduced in the office.
As per the post, the Redditor also allegedly received ‘passive-aggressive’ texts and emails from time to time, eventually leading her to question her own decision. The post was quick to go viral, as it mostly reminded the netizens of the countless ‘toxic workplace’ stories that came forward- mainly in the last few months. Times Now could not confirm the authenticity of the post.
The netizens, on the other hand, suggested the employee leave the organisation, while some recalled their own experiences of dealing with such managers.

“She Yells at Us Constantly: And I mean constantly. For the smallest things. Once, she even yelled at us because her electricity bill was high. Not sure how that’s our fault, but sure. Random Salary Cuts: She straight-up told one of my colleagues that she’d have to cut her salary because sales were low. Mind you, this colleague’s job role has nothing to do with sales. Legal Notices for No Reason: She randomly sends legal notices to people—current employees, ex-employees, and anyone she has an issue with. No real reason, just power-tripping,” the post further read.
