After his health deteriorated on Wednesday morning, RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav was transported to New Delhi for a medical evaluation and treatment.

Tejashwi Yadav, his son and Bihar’s Leader of the Opposition, went with him to the Patna Airport. Physicians have been quite concerned about the RJD supremo’s elevated blood sugar levels.

He had routine examinations in Patna, but his condition remained unchanged. He was spotted leaving for Delhi with a bandage on his hand.

In Delhi, the RJD chairman is expected to go through extensive medical examinations. His blood sugar levels and other health indicators will be monitored by the doctors.

Due to a number of health issues, Lalu Prasad Yadav was consulting with the physicians at AIIMS Delhi. He has made many trips to the nation’s capital for medical examinations and care.

His daughter Rohini Acharya, who resides in Singapore, was the donor for his kidney transplant in 2022.

In September 2024, he also had an angioplasty in Mumbai. at 2014, Lalu Prasad Yadav had open heart surgery at a Mumbai hospital.

The RJD chairman vigorously rejected the Waqf Amendment Bill last month. Despite his health issues, he participated in a demonstration against the law at Gardanibagh on March 26. He hasn’t been seen in public since.

Supporters and employees of RJD are hoping for a quick recovery for him in the meantime.
