Chaitra Navratri is going on at this time. People keep fast for 9 days. During the fast, many things are made and eaten as fruit diet. Singhara Laddoo is very much liked among sweets. If you have not made this wonderful sweet at home till now, then today we are going to tell you the recipe to make it. You can easily prepare this sweet dish by following our recipe. These can be used for many days by keeping them in an air-tight container. This means that you can enjoy it throughout Navratri.
Ingredients
Water Chestnut flour – 3 cups
Almonds – 1/2 cup
Cashews – 1/2 cup
Raisins – 1/4 cup
Makhana – 2 cups
Roasted Melon seeds – 1 tablespoon
Coconut powder – 1/2 cup
Sugar powder – 2.5 cups
Desi ghee – 3 cups
Method – First of all, take a pan and add ghee to it and keep it on medium flame for heating. When the ghee melts, fry all the dry fruits in it one by one and keep it aside.
- Add water chestnut flour in the remaining ghee and fry it with a ladle. Roast the flour till its color becomes golden brown and a mild aroma starts coming.
- While the flour is roasting, take the fried dry fruits and put them in the mixer and grind them coarsely. Meanwhile, when the dough is cooked, turn off the gas and let the dough cool down.
- After this, take out the flour in a plate and add coarsely ground dry fruits to it and mix everything well.
- After this, add roasted melon seeds and sugar powder as per taste to the mixture and mix everything well. Now mix the mixture with both hands and make it uniform.
- After this, take the mixture in both hands and make round laddus. If you feel that there is less ghee in the mixture, you can add more as per your requirement.
- After making the laddus, put them in coconut powder and wrap them well all around and then keep them aside in a plate. Similarly, prepare all the water chestnut laddus one by one.
