The ongoing disagreement between the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) and IPL franchise SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) has been resolved following a meeting focused on key concerns including ticketing and distribution of complimentary passes.

Both parties agreed to adhere to the tripartite agreement signed between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), SRH, and HCA. The meeting was convened by HCA secretary R Devraj after the issue escalated to the Chief Minister of Telangana, prompting potential state intervention. SRH had earlier accused HCA president Jagan Mohan Rao of pressuring the franchise over ticket allocation.

10% Stadium Capacity to Be Followed for Ticket Distribution

The resolution came after discussions involving SRH representatives Kiran, Saravanan, and Rohit Suresh. SRH proposed a strict implementation of the tripartite agreement, requesting 10% of the stadium’s capacity across all seating sections to be reserved according to the pact. HCA, in response, proposed continuing with the historical allocation system for passes across various categories.

Following further discussions, including with SRH CEO Shanmugam, both sides agreed to maintain the existing category-wise allocation of 3,900 complimentary passes to HCA. The HCA assured full cooperation and pledged to support SRH in a professional manner for all future IPL games hosted at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

Focus on Enhancing Spectator Experience

In a joint statement, both organizations confirmed that all disputes have been settled and they remain dedicated to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for fans attending IPL matches in Hyderabad.
