Navi Mumbai: In a move reflecting its commitment to employee welfare, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) swiftly appointed the son of a retiring sanitation worker to a municipal position.
Sunita Parche, who served as a sanitation worker with PMC, opted for voluntary retirement on March 10, 2025 As per the recommendation of the Lad Page Committee, her son, Vijay Parche, was granted immediate employment. On April 2, Commissioner Chitale officially handed over his appointment letter.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Chitale emphasized PMC’s dedication to its employees, particularly sanitation workers, stating, “The corporation remains committed to supporting its workforce, and this initiative is a testament to our proactive approach.”
The appointment ceremony was attended by Additional Commissioners Bharat Rathod and Ganesh Shete, Deputy Commissioners Kailas Gawde, Dr. Vaibhav Vidhate, Prasenjit Karlekar, Ravikiran Ghodke, and Swaroop Kharge, along with several other senior officials.
This prompt action by PMC has been widely appreciated, reaffirming the administration’s focus on employee welfare and social responsibility.
