As child artists she worked with celebrated actors. Her next film was Chachi 420 made by Kamal Haasan. The child actor is Fatima Sana Shaikh. Unbelievable? but its true. This film was none other than Dangal released in 2016. It featured Aamir Khan Sakshi Tanwar Sanya Malhotra among others. It was a biographical sports drama that was loosely based on the life of Indian wrestle Geeta Phogat. From songs scenes to performance the film amassed critical appreciation and love. Made with a  budget of about Rs 70 crores it earned over Rs 300 crores. According to numbers reported by Sacnilk the movies net collection in India was around Rs 387 crores while it minted approximately Rs 2070 crores part of worldwide collection. The popularity her performance bagged a Yash Raj banner film with an ensemble cast - Amitabh Bachchan Aamir Khan Katrina Kaif - for Thugs of Hindostan. However it did not fare well at the box office. It was a big disappointment for the fmakers and actors and everyone was subjected to the setbacks. For Fatima she once revealed in an interview that she had been dropped from two films following the failure of Thugs of Hindostan that made her doubt her self and made her unsure of her skills as an actor. Today she credits director Anurag Basu who cast her in Ludo and helped her regain her confidence. In 2023 she was appreciated for her role in Dhak Dhak and then Sam Bahadur. She is currently working with Basu for the upcoming film Metro...In Dino.
