Deepa Manjhi, the wife of Bihar Minister Santosh Suman and daughter-in-law of Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, is in Gaya celebrating the holy Chaiti Chhath festival.
On Wednesday night, the Imamganj MLA and her sister-in-law Rinki Kumari conducted Kharna Puja at the Mahakar block of the Gaya district.
Chhath worshipers presented prasad composed of milk, jaggery, and roti to Chhathi Maiya at Kharna Puja, an important rite, on Wednesday.
Following the puja, followers prayed for happiness, peace, and prosperity for society as they embarked on a 36-hour waterless fast known as Nirjala.
As part of the third-day rituals, devotees will give Arghya to the setting sun on Thursday. On Friday, the festival will come to a conclusion with Arghya to the rising sun and Paran (Consume Prasad), which signifies the completion of the fast.
Bihar is filled with devotion and a joyous mood on the festival of Chaiti Chhath. Prayers and spiritual music fill ghats and homes.
Devotees prepare clean sacrifices for the Sun God by taking holy baths in rivers, ponds, and wells. To get blessings and Prasad on the Kharna Puja, families and friends go to the houses of Chhath Vratis (devotees).
The celebration, which reflects Bihar’s long-standing cultural traditions and trust in Chhathi Maiya, has both spiritual and political importance because of Deepa Manjhi’s involvement.
The government of Bihar has prepared especially for the huge folk religion devotion event. In each district, Bihar Police have set up a number of preparations at the Chhath Ghats.
The district authorities have been directed to make sure that everything runs well in their respective jurisdictions, particularly the district judges and police officials.
On the third and fourth days of the Chhath celebration, they have been urged to be alert during the Arghya.
The administrators have been urged to make sure that Chhath Ghats have drinking water amenities, restrooms, changing areas, safety obstacles, lighting, and ongoing cleaning.
