Jaipur resident and former head of the Department of Cardiology at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Dr. Mahala passed away on Tuesday. He was a heart specialist and had given a new life to hundreds of patients through his treatment. But unfortunately, the same disease proved fatal for him. Health suddenly deteriorated, Dr. Mahala suddenly complained of chest pain last Friday. Being an experienced doctor, he immediately got himself examined and after seeing the report, he understood the seriousness of the situation. After this, he approached his fellow cardiologist, who advised him to get admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.

The operation was done in Medanta, but life could not be saved

After examination at Medanta Hospital, it was found that he had a serious problem called aortic dissection, in which a gap is formed due to pressure in the main artery of the heart (aorta). This condition can be life-threatening and requires immediate surgery. The team of doctors operated on him immediately, but later his condition deteriorated. On Monday, he opened his eyes for a while, but then collapsed. He was put on ventilator support, but despite all efforts, he breathed his last on Tuesday.
