New Delhi . India is going to create new history in space. The Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla will be part of the new mission running with Spacex. He will become the first Indian to visit the international space station. This mission will be part of Axiom Mission 4 (AX-4). The launch date of this mission has come out. It will be launched from the Canedi Space Center in Florida, NASA.
Who is Shubhanshu Shukla?
Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla is an experienced pilot of the Indian Air Force. He is also included in the Astronauts selected for India's ambitious Gaganyaan Mission. In the AX-4 mission, he will travel to space as a pilot of the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft.
Who else in the mission
The mission will be led by former NASA astronaut Paigi Whitson. He will be accompanied by Poland's Savos Ujnansky-Visnevsky and Hungary's Tibor Kapu Mission Specialist.
Mission purpose
This is a 14 -day mission, in which science experiments, educational programs and business activities will be done. Shubhanshu Shukla will also showcase India's culture in space during this period. He will take artifacts associated with different Indian states and will also try to do yoga in space.
Why special for India
Shubhanshu Shukla is representing India in this mission. Earlier, Rakesh Sharma became the first Indian to go to space in 1984. This mission reflects India's growing strength and global cooperation in the space field of India.
Through this mission, cooperation between NASA, AXIOM Space and ISRO will be strengthened, which will open new avenues of space in future and space trips. Shubhanshu Shukla said, “This is not just my journey, but a flight of expectations and dreams of 1.4 billion Indians.”
